Zeolite:

is almost 90 to 95% pure clinoptilolite.
contains potassium and calcium, which are loosely held and made available to the plants in a form that they can easily absorb.
has a high CEC (cation exchange capacity) and a large surface area of about 24.9 square meters per gram.
has the ability to hold up to 55% of its weight in water, helping with water retention and distribution in the soil. This makes it a great soil implement for lawns and gardens while reducing your water bill.
helps with soil compaction and aeration, application rate is 10 lb. per 1,000 sq.ft.
improves the efficiency of fertilizers by holding nitrogen in its structure while still keeping it available for the plants. Since the nitrogen is held in the zeolite lattice, it does not volatilize or leach into aquifers or rivers. This allows you to use a smaller amount of fertilizer to get the same results.
ties up ammonia in poultry barns when sprinkled on the bedding. Since the ammonia is tied up, it does not volatilize, which is a bonus when you add the poultry bedding to your compost pile.
improves air quality in poultry barns, by keeping the bedding dry and reducing the ammonia in the air. Air quality is paramount for the health of your birds. Chickens start suffering lung damage when ammonia is present in the air at a concentration of 10 ppm. The human nose only detects it when the concentration is 25 ppm. Considering that chickens are much closer to the ground too, a lot of damage can be done to their lungs before you even know that there is ammonia in the air.
can be added to poultry rations at a rate of maximum 2% to help birds get rid of toxins such as mycotoxins.
